Edmunds says that the folks at the Blue Oval did not mess around when designing the powertrains for the F-350. The starting engine is a 6.2-liter gasoline V8 which wields a savage 385 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. For SRW, you’ll be able to tow up to 12,500 pounds and 16,100 in DRW. The days of leaving larger items at home or having to take two trips are long behind you.
If that still isn’t enough might for you, there’s the 6.7-liter diesel V8, which cranks out 440 horsepower and a mind-blowing 860 pound-feet of torque. With this monstrous powertrain, you get a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds (SRW) or 19,000 pounds (DRW). Opt for the fifth-wheel setup and those numbers are elevated to 16,800 lbs and 26,700 lbs for SRW and DRW respectively. Yes, you read that correctly.
