Yes, a powerful engine and sexy silhouette are all well and good in a sports car, but the 2016 Ford Mustang is also becoming known for its smart interior. Consider a pre-owned model for your next sports coupe.
Retro touches adorn the interior, including a dual-cowl dashboard and a few choicely placed logos. However, the pony car doesn’t shy away from modern conveniences. The base model comes with a rearview camera, keyless entry and ignition, and Track Apps, which can be used for monitoring your lap time.
The SYNC system also comes standard on a prominently displayed LCD screen, with an option to upgrade to the highly anticipated SYNC 3. The latter infotainment system allows you to make swiping and pinching gestures, much like you would on your smartphone. Both systems provide the technology for navigation, handsfree calls, and device pairing.
Edmunds lauds the new tilt and telescoping steering wheel, which will be much appreciated by drivers on opposite ends of the height spectrum, who can now customize the position of the wheel to their liking. If you enjoy putting the pedal to the metal, consider upgrading to the Recaro sports seats which provide superior lateral support.
The Mustang coupe comes with 13.5 cubic feet of trunk space, which is pretty great for a sports car and will be enough space for a grocery trip or overnight trip. If you’ve got a romantic weekend planned, the back seats fold down to create plenty of cargo space for a couple suitcases.
