Ranked in the top 20 Affordable Midsize Cars by U.S. News & World Report, the 2015 Ford Fusion Energi SE offers hybrid technology with plug-in capability. It’s a revolutionary model that makes buying an eco-friendly vehicle more attractive. This five-seater even earned an exceptional five-star rating for overall protection in government-conducted crash tests.
Powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with a lithium-ion battery-fed electric motor, the Fusion Energi produces 195 hp. Equipped with front-wheel drive, it has a range of 19 miles running on stored energy alone. It also gets 38 mpg combined (40 city/36 highway). Experts at Edmunds found that it can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 8 seconds flat. That’s faster than the Chevrolet Volt.
The SE trim level includes 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, and foglamps for a stylish exterior look. The MyFord Touch infotainment interface operates on an 8-in monitor with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling. You also listen to music through the six-speaker sound system and charge your mobile device via the USB port.
