Really—for the second year of this five-seater, the Big Blue Oval brand stocked the crossover SUV with a bounty of standard inclusions. The 3.5L V6 engine offers up 265 horses at 6,250 revolutions per minute (RPM) and 250 lb.-ft. at 4,500 RPM—good for 24 MPG highway. The 17-inch aluminum wheels gleam on the exterior, and the driver lumbar support and AM/FM/satellite-prep, seek-scan radio keep you comfortable and entertained during those longer excursions outside of Seattle, Bellevue and Renton.
A boatload of optional equipment is available on the Edge, as well. The navigation system supports voice control for the 2008 model year. Leather seats with contrast stitching can be added, and the kids are going to be stoked over the flip-down, eight-inch screens that constitute the rear DVD entertainment offering. Wireless headphones are also included, meaning your passengers can enjoy the show without the interference of pesky road noise.
There’s so much to love with the 2008 Edge SE. If you’re not already convinced, call us at Sound Ford today to set up a visit—we’ll offer a full walkthrough!
