Ford's all-new Expedition is equipped to stand up to the toughest terrain and fulfill any situation's towing and hauling needs, making it the most capable SUV to date. To celebrate the Blue Oval's newest family member, Stephen Jones, the chief operating officer and executive vice president of the Dallas Cowboys, unveiled the Expedition early in February at The Star's Ford Center. The event recognized both the Expedition and Ford's long-standing relationship with the Dallas Cowboys - last fall, the two entities teamed up to refurbish Dallas firefighters' Station 43, and will join forces once again to gift a new Expedition to a local first responder.
In regard to the SUV's nuts and bolts, the Expedition boasts a new high-strength, aluminum-alloybody and steel frame, both of which contribute to its enhanced off-roading and towing capacities while cutting over 300 pounds of weight. A 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine with standard Auto Start-Stop, coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission, gives the SUV power - an attribute that won't go unnoticed, considering that over half of Expedition customers reportedly value towing and 15 percent of the surveyed group tow on a weekly or monthly basis. The new Expedition's upped 'tough' factor and innovative features make it a showstopper.
