Ford's charging towards the future of driving and isn't looking back. Recently, representatives of the Blue Oval shared the company's plans to integrate a suite of services that will make operating and upkeeping electrified vehicles (EVs) consumer-friendly; the projected rollout of the services applies leadership in both commercial vehicles and EVs that goes back roughly twenty years.

The suite of services is the next step in a long-term project that transcends country lines. A memorandum of understanding was signed by Ford representatives and those of other automakers in Europe last year, which serves to facilitate an ultra-fast charging network that is spread over approximately 400 sites in Europe. The network is already anticipated to be notably quicker than even the strongest charging systems used today, and Ford expects thousands of high-powered charging points to be readily available for consumer use by 2020.
In addition, Ford is currently piloting wireless technology on its EVs both in Europe and domestically, which will ensure ease of charging - a process as simple as pulling into a parking spot that instinctively begins recharging.
At this rate of innovation, the horizon looks bright for Ford drivers. Discover what else is on tap at Sound Ford in Seattle, Washington.
