Have you heard the news? Ford has announced that it will be adding overtime shifts at its Michigan Assembly Plant next week to meet the consumer’s demand for the new Ranger - this comes shortly after the factory had to be shut down due to extreme cold temperatures.
Since the mid-size truck’s debut in January, there have been approximately 1,200 of the vehicles sold. This has exceeded the expectations of the manufacturer who now are stepping up to produce more of the desirable machine to keep up with the popularity. Fortunately, you can get your hands on a 2019 Ranger XLT today - and there’s plenty of reasons why you’d want to. Under the hood rests a boisterous turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder engine that generates a potent 270 hp at 5,500 revs per minute and 310 ft.-lb. of torque at 3,000 RPM. It's equipped with a 10-speed Automatic transmission, rear wheel drive, and the EPA estimates an exceptional fuel economy of 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway for a total of 23 mpg combined.
