It’s a battle for the ages - with the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro revving to the starting line. Their engines roar; their exhaust pipes glisten; and then… they’re off, tires smacking angrily against the pavement. Across the miles they go, pushing the limits of sport-tuned performance.
There can be only one winner in this race, however, and it’s (of course) the Mustang.
According to Torque News, the 2018 Mustang secured a victory for November - generating 6,720 total units! This propelled it past the competition (including its arch-rival the Camaro, which earned only 4,737 total units); and it delivered a massive growth for Ford, allowing the brand to gain a further lead in the auto chart race. With sales numbers currently tracking at approximately 74,000, critics are anticipating a 10% year-to-year gain by December.
This will prove to be a boon for Ford - with the 2018 Mustang (along with popular sellers, the F-150 and the Escape) yielding complete market domination. Chevrolet never stood a chance.
Our team predicted this sales surge months ago, knowing that the new Mustang would impress with its 5.0L V8 engine and class-leading performance (460 HP, 420 lb.-ft of torque). It’s a six-speed manual beast that deftly responds to both the track and the highway.
