The brand new F-150's fenders and chamfered nose are only a couple of the enticing features that make their debut in Ford's latest model. The truck is already making waves, although its introduction isn't until later this year.
At its core, reliability and capability - two traits that epitomize the F-Series brand in general - are king for the 2018 F-150.
“Form and function matters to Ford truck customers,” Gordon Platto, a Ford truck designer, said. “...Ford trucks need to be purpose-built for work and instill confidence among those who use them.” Watch more below:
In our previous article, we touched upon some of the front- and profile-view features that stand out; the rear side, though, is not something to overlook. Mirroring the other end, it sports a billet-milled treatment around the tailgate and fenders for enhanced illumination; however, nameplates to go with given trucks' trim levels replace the F-150 badge. Elements like that serve to upgrade the buying experience. After all, the customers are truly right at the end of the day.
“When we are designing F-150, we really look at the truck through the eyes of our customers,” Sean Tant, Ford truck studio's design manager, said.
