The all-new Ford F-150 Raptor, available at Sound Ford in Seattle, Washington, clawed past the competition recently to earn the 2017 Gold Hitch best off-road truck award from The Fast Lane Truck. The online truck enthusiast magazine deemed the Raptor, which boasts up to 8,000 pounds of towing capacity and 450 horsepower, the winner after a series of tests against other trucks in Colorado and Utah - including its sibling, the 2017 Ford F-150.
The Raptor's domination on the testing course (and off the roads) is attributable to its purpose-built performance chassis, high-powered engine and adaptability to nearly any terrain.
“The 2017 Raptor is a complete package that combines a powerful engine, speed and off-road components to tackle nearly every kind of terrain, and do it in comfort,” Andre Smirnov, an editor for TFLtruck.com, said. It's no surprise, then, that The Fast Lane Truck award is the latest in a stream of wins for the Raptor, following awards from FOUR WHEELER, Cars.com, Autoguide.com and Autotrader.
