Ford Motor Company's February sales represented growth in certain areas; namely, in regard to the Blue Oval's selection of large SUVs in China. The vehicles' popularity continues to expand across the country.
Given the upward trend, last month's sales of the Ford Edge aptly climbed up 20 percent compared to 2016's sales.
“We continue to see strong demand from Chinese customers for our 3-row Edge SUV and luxurious Taurus large sedan,” Peter Fleet, Ford's vice president of marketing, sales and service, Asia Pacific, said in response to the posted growth. Watch the Taurus steal the spotlight in the video below:
Fleet's mention of the Taurus references its gains in the first two months of the new year that parallel the increases in SUV sales; the Taurus increased its sales by 9 percent year-over-year. Additionally, Ford Performance's darlings - the Focus RS and ST - posted 67-percent increases during February, speaking to consumers' buying inclinations.
